Tim Simba – Regional Vice President Africa, Association of International Certified Professional Accountants

 

Tim Simba is Regional Vice President Africa at the Association of International Certified Professional Accountants, the unified voice unified voice of The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) and the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA).

 

Tim is responsible for leading the Association’s growth and promoting the CIMA Professional Qualification, working with employers to meet their evolving needs, supporting CIMA members and students with competency development and employability, and advance the Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) designation in Africa.  

 

Prior to joining the Association, he was Regional Sales Director at Global Business Excellence (GBE). Tim also previously worked as Stakeholder Relations Executive at PPS Insurance and Marketing & Communications Director at Motorola.

 

Tim is an accomplished business, marketing and communications leader with over 30 years’ experience. He has worked for companies across various sectors including food manufacturing, FMCG, retail, financial services, telecommunications, supply chain management, consulting and franchising in South Africa and in over 20 Sub-Saharan Africa markets.

 

Tim is also a Non-Executive Director at FBC Building Society and serves the same board as Board Credit Committee member as well as a member of the Board Finance, Assets & Liabilities Committee (ALCO). Tim holds a Master of Business Leadership (MBL) from the University of South Africa, an Honours degree in Applied Biology from the University of Sunderland (UK) and a Diploma in Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing (UK). He is also a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (FCIM) – UK.
