Tapiwa Frank Mashanda is the Senior Finance Manager for the Enterprise Commercial and Public Sector business at Microsoft South Africa. In this role, Tapiwa partners with the segment directors and leads forecasting, budgeting, financial reporting, directing investment and sales activities and developing plans and strategies for long-term financial goals of the organisation. Tapiwa also leads the finance pillar for external customer digital transformation initiatives.
Prior to joining Microsoft, Tapiwa managed the commercial sales activities for Siemens Wind Power in the Middle East and Africa region. During this time, Tapiwa was instrumental in concluding over 360MWs of wind turbine sales representing an investment of around R9billion under the REIPPPP in South Africa.
Before joining Siemens, Tapiwa served in various financial and management accounting roles in the mining industry at Anglo American. Tapiwa holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Potchefstroom University, an MPhil in Development Finance from Stellenbosch University and holds the Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) designation.
